John first started exploring the national parks of the United States when he was just a boy, traveling to Colorado with this family and bagging his first 14,000 foot peak at the age of 5. After graduating form college he moved to California. From there he explored Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks. Later travels took him to Glacier National Park, MT and Rocky Mountain National Park, CO. He has also been to the Wind River Range of Wyoming, the San Juan Mountains of CO, and Arches National Park, UT. John shares a wealth of information with the groups he guides. It was John's idea to start "Out-there Adventures".
Todd Runestad
Todd was born in Colorado, but moved to Long Island and as a young boy. He was always interested in his family roots out west. After college, he too moved to California and explored the national parks with his long time friend, John. Todd brings a sense of adventure and fun to the trips he guides, opening the eyes of his followers to new experiences and challenges.
Nick Siewert
Nick grew up on Long Island and went to high school with Todd and Nick. The three of them were involved in various outdoor activities, including skiing and sailing. Nick went to college in Vermont, and also moved to California after graduating. Since then Nick as been all over the US, participating in various challenges and competing in grueling backcountry survival contests. Nick is an expert survivalist.
